GREAT EXPECTATIONS

When I was 16 I first read Bengali adapted version of GREAT EXPECTATIONS. Niaz Morshed was the translator. WE know it is a masterpiece of great CHARLES DICKENS. But Bengali version is not a step behind the original one. 'Kishore Classic's of SHEBA PROKASHONI was popular because of that man Mr. Niaz. But now you know anything about him?
Actually we do not give proper value of the translator who patiently translate a best seller book into his native language without changing its real meanings. It is the hardest job to say a story of a other storyteller in another language in exact theme or direction.
By the way, at 21 I read the English Great Expectations of Dickens & once again I thought myself as John Philip 'Pip'. How a character settle down upon you it is astonishing. Only blessed people can make some characters in paper whom you will mistake with yourself. I think it is the greatness of writing.
Please find Mr.Niaz Morshed & also Rowshan Zamil because there are tons of books are waiting to translate in Bengali.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS

SOME HIS HIGHNESS FROM LINKEDIN

Now you know it very well that I'm trying to start a grand books stall in Rangpur,Bangladesh because I've a great appetite for reading books.I just like to smell the flavor of books, may it old or new. Here is a story that you must listen carefully because it will help you in future.

In LinkedIn.com I started a discussion in 01/2012 that I need $60000 as a equity share or loan of total amount $70000 & I shall start the largest book stall in Bangladesh. Some Mr.Asad from Asad Investment company of Yemen came ahead & said he would give full $700000 as I'm a enthusiastic man & eager to start business. He Said he is a honorable member of Saltanat of Yemen. I had to address him "His highness".

He gave his solicitor's name & it was some Nabelsy. I started contacting with them by mail. They send me documents. I browsed net & found both of them in the yellow pages of their country. They also gave me a account number of HSBC bank from London & said I'd to deposit 10% of loan amount before I get the money. I asked why in London, they replied because of terrorism myth they are not taking any risk.

In yellow pages there were two cell no. of them I tried to contact with them several time but couldn't. I mentioned it in my mail they said number were okay & they only speak Arabic.I also told in mail that they would deduct the money from loan amount, they said that was not the rule & I've to gave the money first.

So I came to the point that they are fake lender,i.e. spammer.  They are every where in the net.My junk box every day fill with them.

The interesting main fact is, yesterday I got a notification saying that Mr.Asad has taken me in his group! Also want to do business with me.What this man thinks himself is, a smart guy? Or We the people are gold fish that our memory remains only for few seconds?
He perhaps trying to play with me. Any one can play with a needy man. It's the rule of the Universe.

TARZAN FEVER AMONG US IN 80'S

Bangladesh Television showed Tarzan movies in Sunday most probably from 1980 to 1982. I was just a boy of 8/9 years old & was not as smart as today's kids, didn't understand English very well. But no one couldn't stop me to see those Tarzan's episodes. At Sunday noon some special power-special magic took over me to  go before a Television set. On that time few people have this magic. I can remember only for my continuous appeal & cry my parents bought 20" black & white National Television set in the last of 1981.
Rakib Hasan translated TARZAN novels of EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS in Bengali & SHEBA published them between 1984 to 1986.At that period it was our favorite series also. Here another information to remember that BTV had broadcast  a weekly drama named "Tarzan Asche (Tarzan is coming)" in 1982 or 1983. Asaduzzaman Noor & Pilu Momtaz were the hero & heroine of that drama.
Here are some Tarzan novels of E.R.Burroughs:
1.Tarzan Of The Apes
2.Tarzan The Untamed
3.Tarzan And The Jewels Of Opar
4.The Lost Continent
5.Tarzan The Terrible
6.The Return Of Tarzan

BEN-HUR,SHEBA AND ME

The habit of reading developed in our generation,no doubt;by SHEBA PROKASHONI of respected QAZI ANOWAR HOSSAIN. When I was in class VI or VII I first came in touch of this publishing group. Their World Classic's translation was fabulous.I can still sense the excitement of that period we had. Yes it was we. Our all friends were eager for a new book SHEBA.We managed money avoiding tiff in & from bus fare.If my memory doesn't betray,my first SHEBA book is BEN-HUR of Leo Wallace.Simply reading this book me & my friends became fans of SHEBA.After this every classic published by SHEBA till 2000 we read.
I'm giving the link of original BEN-HUR. Hope you will enjoy the reading.

OLD WINE IN A NEW BOTTLE !!!

I'm lucky that I have a habit of reading. In my life, good things what I've got or still getting, mostly from books & from my parents.I'm,myself; responsible for the events those have gone wrong with me. No one ever harmed me. I suffered or still suffering for my own doings or for my own faults.

I'm, now a father of three children. What I'm giving them? Nothing except love. But in this hard life only simple love is enough? I know it's not. To buildup a proper life money is compulsory option.

I've ruined my life, but I wish no one's life will be collapsed as mine.I  also hope everyone along my loving children will be successful in their future life.
Now at the age of forty four I can realize that one should be sincere to their responsible work & always take advise from good books & parents. How worse you may be your parents always ready to forgive your wrong doings and will give you shed & shelter.

I want to start my life once again from the beginning. I want to do something good & profitable for my family. But I'm getting old. I can see it clearly when I look myself into a mirror. My hair is turning white & reducing in number. Also my eye sight becoming poor. But in my mind I still have the same enthusiasm for anything that I had at the age of 21.

What a strange life I'm been through! I have completed my education from Rajshahi University. I read there Biochemistry & Genetics. But my professional carrier started as a senior officer of a specialized bank. Eventually & unfortunately I lost that job.

After loosing my banking job I tried to manage fund to start a book stall. But I couldn't able to manage the fund. I'm still hopeful that one day I must start a book shop, where all kind of books will be available for book lovers.

Now I'm living the life of a boneless parasite. I know I can do better but the opportunities are very limited because of some old haggurds. I'm not underestimating those fathers & grand father. But it is natural that a young fresh enthusiasts must take the leading role without any hesitation and without committees and sub-committees.
